Another Weak GOP Candidate For 2009: Sen. Ken Cuccinelli

Jackpot my fellow Democrats! Dead end State Senator Ken Cuccinelli is set to declare his candidacy for Attorney General in 2009, so says the Virginia Pilot. Cuccinelli barely won re-election to the state senate by a margin of 100 votes. He represents Fairfax county and his district is the last red one remaining and this area continues to trend more and more Democratic. Cuccinelli's district also faces complete annihilation during redistricting in 2011. Thus the impetus for this weak candidate's campaign for Attorney General: he has no hope of re-election to the State Senate of Virginia.

I can't think of a more desirable GOP candidate for Attorney General except for maybe Jerry Kilgore. This guy is ultra-conservative, unlikable and out of touch with the values of mainstream Virginia. Sure the Bob Marshall's and Dick Black's rejoice, but they are fanatical fringe elements. Virginians like mainstream candidates that represent their values and thats why I support another Fairfax leader, Steve Shannon for Attorney General.
